A Cup of Coffee

Rod Gray, 39, North Myrtle Beach, US

Today I had the awesome opportunity to purchase a total stranger a cup of coffee at convenience store in Clayton, NC. Although the cup of coffee only cost $1.07, the look on the ladies face when she realized a stranger was thoughtful enough to do this was priceless! After I paid the money, the cashier told the lady it was paid for, she smiled a huge smile at me when she realized I had done this. I told her Merry Christmas and gave her a thegiftrevolution.com Card and went on my way. How cool it was to do something totally random, for no reason at all, and expecting nothing in return. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Day Deliveries

Penny Coxe, 62, Shallotte, US

Today is Thanksgiving Day, we traveled back to our home town to be with family and friends. Our hometown church is feeding 900 people today. I volunteered at the church this morning delivering the box meals. One particular home I delivered to, was an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair all alone. I shared with him the card and dollar given to us by the Nesmith family during Sundays service. Thank you so much Clay & family for giving us a boost to do something special during the holiday season. The gentleman was all alone and so appreciative of the food and also the visit. Clay, thanks so much for the wonderful teachings during your messages each week. You are certainly a man of God.

God's Angel

Jan, 47, North Myrtle Beach, US

Last December, when things were looking pretty bleak for me, a woman from church gave me a Christmas card. In the card was a gift revolution card with enough money in the envelope to help pay my rent for that month. She had the spirit of Jesus in her. I will never forget her kind gesture. Her doing this for me has encouraged me to give back and to share the good news about God's loving grace. There is no better gift than to be giving.

early morning

vicky, 32, north myrtle beach, US

I just got back taking my kids to the bus stop. I stopped at the little yellow store here to buy a soda and left 2.00 with the cashier and a gift revolution card. I asked her to please give the money and card to the next person who came in to buy a soda. I was still in my car when I young man came in not a minute after I left the store and bought a soda. I got to see his face when he left the store and the clerk gave me a thumbs up. Let the revolution begin!!!!!!!!!!!!

6 Grandchildren!

Gayle, 64, North Myrtle Beach, , US

On Sunday at Barefoot Church in North Myrtle Beach SC, Pastor Clay gave all of us $1 and several gift revolution cards. We thought for a while as to what we would do with the dollar. Well, we have six grandchildren ranging in age from 12 years to 22 months what a better place! In a Thanksgiving card we put $2 around a "gift revolution" card and sent them off to our six grandchildren. We are very excited for them to receive them and see just what they will do with the cards!

1st gift Revolution giving

Theresa Clark, 40, Portland, US

Ok, so I know that many of you have done this very thing, but it's my first year of doing this, so I pulled up and placed my order at McDonalds today. The guy behind me in line seemed to be having a rough day, so when I pulled up to the window and payed for my meal, I also payed his. The manager on duty gave me big smile and said that his preacher had just ministered on Sunday about giving and he was very impressed, so I shared a TheGiftRevolution card with him, explained how it worked, told him to check it out and gave him a card for the guy behind me. Needless to say, the guy behind me started smiling and waved. What an awesome feeling......

JOY

Dee Riedel, 28, Conway, US

I put a five dollar bill around a card that I received at Church on Sunday about the Gift Revolution and left it on the door of someone's car in the parking lot of my school. I waited inside the school door and watched as they owner of the vehicle unlocked her door and picked up the card and opened the money and started crying. She came back in the school and asked if this was real or if it was a joke. I sat down with her and then we both started to cry. It was wonderful. We shared tears and talked about God. What a great way to start a work week. Thank you for allowing me to start my holiday week off this way.

I love my wife and she loves Thai so we I took her on a date after a long day. The food was excellent as always and the time together was special. When it came time to pay our bill the waitress told us that someone had come in for take out and paid for our meal along with theirs. An evening at Steak and Shake

Michael Ray, 43, Myrtle Beach, US

Today I was feeling kind of down, it was raining, dreary, the Holidays were upon us once again, and in general I decided it was a day to try to brighten my spirits. I decided to visit the Steak and Shake restuarant in Myrtle Beach. I was alone and often times I chose to eat out alone. I have friends and all, but often times I just enjoy a quiet meal out. When I entered the restaurant, I saw a large group of young people there, and it appeared to me that perhaps they were part of a church group. It was kind of funny, when they were cashing out their bill, everyone was breaking everything down and paying their checks. I watched while I awaited my order and thought, wow, I'm glad that I'm not the cashier trying to divide those check us. All of a sudden, the waitress came to my table and asked me for my coupon because "she had to adjust my bill." I thought that was odd as Steak n Shake normally takes the coupons off at the register. All of a sudden, the waitress came back and handed me this small business card, and said to me "your check has been paid and for me to "continue the revolution." I sat in amazement at this nice jesture. I was really taken back to thing that a total stranger took it upon themselves to do their best to make my day. I must admit, money is tight and I probably didn't need to be spending it eating out, but I was sure delighted that someone did that for me. I intend to continue the revolution by doing a good deed this week for someone else.

Listening!

Mark Josephs, 37, North Myrtle Beach, US

I was able to listen to a young man this week. All he wanted was someone to listen to him. In our day and age, a listening ear is worth more than gold & silver. I was greatful the God gave me the heart to help and listen to people. I love people, and if just shutting up and listening brings others joy, well, bring it on! It was very important to him, and may have helped propelled him to the place were he needs to be.....

my gift

Gary Tomlinson, 43, N.Myrtle Beach,SC, US

I have been attending Barefoot Church for about 3 month's and it has changed my life. My faith has been restored and my family and I have been saved. I have always been a believer but have strayed and have lived in sin for many years and thought that I had been lost forever. That was when I met Pastor Clay Nesmith and there is something that draws me to the message of hope that he gives my family and I every week that is amazing to me. I am full of faith and love in my heart that I thought was gone forever. The effects of this are soo profound that even though our finances are a wreck and everything seems to be falling around us, I cannot feel anything but thankful for my blessing. I now hold my head high everyday knowing that I am truly blessed in every way. This Sunday's service was as inspiring as always, and we all were given a gift of a dollar each and a gift revolution card and it was suggested that we spread the hope of god and bless someone else with the gift. I decided since my family had received 4 total that I would put mine in with my tithe envelope, because this church has given me soo much hope ,that I should give my blessing back and let my family distribute their's as they see fit. I know it's not the dollar that counts, but I believe a small blessing from me is only a small part of what I can give back to a church that's given me so much hope in my time of need. God Bless Barefoot Church,Pastor Clay and all those who believe. Gary

No and Yes

Terrell Somerville, 44, Gallatin, TN, US

I went to the gas station the other day and wanted to kick off my TGR by buying someone $10 of gasoline. To my surprise, I believe the first person thought I was crazy, the second person told me no, and finally a young guy had his daughter in the car and I asked him if I could buy him some gas and he said "YES' He had only just purchased $10 and was so glad to get $10 more. He was humble and it really blessed me to do this for this person. Go TGR!
