Blessed

Tina, 29, Ava, US

My husband and I are trying everyday to bless someone, even in a small way. We found that we are truly receiving blessings in ways that we can not explain. I believe that everyday we should try to do something for someone. By best blessing so far has been that my husband gave his life to the Lord a few weeks ago. His heart is truly larger than life right now. I thank the Lord for His wonderful BLessings everyday. May the gifts and love keep pouring out. God Bless each and everyone.

unsung heroes

Joann, 53, Gallatin, US

My family was traveling over 900 miles to a new home - hoping for a new start where the cost of existence would hopefully not be prohibitive. Enroute, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for some lunch. While dining, a party of 10 servicemen were seated next to us. They were dressed in their fatigues. My husband and I looked at each other, our family, and our meal. My husband called over our waitress and asked her to give us the bill for the soldiers meals and we would take care of it. We anonymously paid their bill and left. It was a small "thank you" for their sacrifice. This gesture on the part of my husband did not surprise me, even as we faced an uncertain future which included unemployment and ill health - but we were together. These young men were making a sacrifice we could not.

Christmas Eve In Lima

Steve Guschov, 43, Lima, PE

Several of our FRC-Lima leaders have gone to various parks across the city to hand out ice cream, chocolate, and cotton candy to children & families as part of TGR. Another thing that we do on Christmas Eve in Lima is to hand out "goody bags" to the homeless & impoverished families that flock to Lima each year on December 24, in order to beg for food and money. We fill Zip-Loc bags with juice boxes, chocolates, cookies, Christmas candies, and other items, and then we hand them out at the intersections and in the parks where the people gather. Usually we hand out over 1,000 goody bags to people on Christmas Eve.

Donut Road Trip

The Edge FC Student Ministry, 150, Gallatin, US

Last week we at The Edge decided to take a donut to every high school and middle school teacher in the county. We have students who attend most all the schools so we thought it would be a good way to show our appreciation for those who also invest in our students. Along the way we also had a little fun, but exciting part was the reactions to completly unexpetcted gifts.

Jolt of Java

Adriane, 35, Davie, US

I took the day off for a leisure day with my husband. The kids were out so we decided to go to the gym and then to Starbucks for a morning jolt before we ran some errands. As we were in line, the woman in front of us paid for our coffee and handed us a card. It was SO nice. So, it was a wonderful and unexpected gift that made our day!

Free Drink at Starbucks

Damaris Lupulescu, 22, Cooper City, US

I was standing in line at Starbucks and i remembered i had a gift revolution card in my purse, so i decided to give five dollars to the person behind me with the card. She was so shocked she couldn't believe what i have done. I had the whole shop stare at me cause they just witnessed a good deed for no reason and it was surprising to them. The lady was so happy that she was speachless. i walked out and said Merry Christmas! Go God!

an amazing gift!

Kim Burnham, 40, Kalispell, US

I received an amazing gift and am so overwhelmed and grateful for the kindness and generosity of others! I am a photographer and a member of an online forum for photographers called Beyond. I love it there and find inspiration and motivation for my photography. I am just starting out in the business, I've come a long way in the last year and still have a long way to go. I've been ready to upgrade my website but have no way of funding that at the moment. I received an anonymous gift form someone who is part of the gift revolution of a new website! I have no idea who it is from, but I am so grateful! Thank you for your kindness! This is a glorious season! Kim

Small Gift

Jan, 50, Hollywood, US

I wanted to do something for everyone at work for The Gift Revolution,so what I did was I gave The Gift Revolution card and Candy Cane to everyone, and also our school bus drivers. It wasn't much but I felt good doing it. A few of the bus drivers knew of The Gift Revolution and really appreciated it.What was really cute is that some of the students saw me with the cards and said I know what they are they are from our church for The Gift Revolution. It even made a impact on the young ones. This was the best,we need to something like this all year long!!

Giving for His Children

Juliene de Oliveira, 33, Cooper City, US

My husband and I went to church on Sunday and we heard Pastor Troy talk about The Gift Revolution. Immediately my heart was nudged to give, and I could not think of anyone else than “His Children” at “His House Children’s Home”. Yesterday I dropped off some toys and Teddy bears for the kids. Even though we could only see a few of the kids, it felt so great when one of them looked up at us and smile. It’s very important to give at least a little bit, because it makes a big difference in the world and in the lives of some children. Thank you Flamingo Road Church for the opportunity. almost arrested

Tammy Ortiz, 45, Miramar, US

My story begins at 730a.m in the morning. I went to a friends house to give her an envelope full of cash annonymously. She just had a baby and is out of work and we wanted to help. My 2 kids and myself stuck the envelope in the door, knocked loudly and ran to hide behind a truck in the neighbors yard. After a few minutes we tip toed over to see if she opened the door and to our surprize she did not. So we knocked and ran again. By this time the neighbor called my friend and told her to call the police. Well before she called the police she came outside and looked around (I could see her feet from hiding under the truck. She didnt see us but still didnt pick up the envelope. So we had to knock on the door and give it to her. Although she knows it was us it was an amazing gift for her and she was so appreciative. When i got to work that morning i was telling a few co workers about what happened and without hesitation my boss said she wanted to help her out as well and wrote her a check for $100.00. I should mention that my boss does not know my friend. That is truely God at work. When i gave my friend the check, she cried and cried and was just so grateful.

Christmas Gifts for a "Middle

Tony Kluz, 51, Tampa, US

I grew up the middle of 3 boys... my neighbor (A middle shcool teacher) was telling me about her friend with 3 children also (11, 9, and 7 years old). She told me how the middle one who was in her class, always gets slighted at Christmas since the little one gets the best toys and the oldest gets more grown up gifts leaving the middle boy in limbo. I really could relate as I am a "Middle" childgrowing up too. :) So, I explained the Gift Revolution concept to her and gave her a $50 bill and told her to surprise the middle boy with a trip to the Mall to pick out whatever he wanted! She said, he would buy clothes with it, not toys and I was suprised, but told her the point was he could get whatever HE wanted! He picked out a jacket and pants and now he cannot wait to go back to school to show them off! It really made my day, made her day, and that "Middle Child's" day! Woohooooo! Many Blessings to you and yours! Do something for a friend, neighbor, or stranger today! Regards JB.

Stranded

Dandy, 28, Ozark, US

One morning I was sitting at a stop light on my way to work and there was a woman standing at the intersection. She was holding a piece of cardboard that read, "Stranded and hungry". I couldn't sit in my warm car, comfortable and safe while she stood in the cold with nothing. Without even thinking I opened my wallet and took out my last $10. A few hours later, a woman I clean house for gave me a tip of $37.50.

Chic-fil-a surprise

tracey, 32, mt juliet, US

I pulled up and ordered my lunch at the drive thru at chic-fil-a. Much to my surprise when I got to the window I was told the lady in front of me had already paid for my lunch. I was handed a card. Since then I have gone through a drive thru and passed the gift along. This revolution truly has inspired me to want to help others all the time. If only everyone could be touched by this, WHAT A MUCH HAPPIER WORLD THIS WOULD BE. God is truly behind this great and wonderful idea.

Miami Hope Center

Laurie and Stephanie, 36, Pembroke Pines/Holly, US

My friend Stephanie Turner and I had the opportunity to give at a homeless shelter in Miami called the Miami Hope Center. This is a unique center that not only meets the needs of the people but empowers and equips them to start life over. It is a 400 bed facility that serves men, women, families including over 100 children. We thought about what it would be like to wake up Christmas morning in a homeless shelter....does Santa deliver gifts there? We wanted to make sure he did...we were able to fill two large bins with toys for kids of all ages, clothing including basics like socks and underwear and PJs for the kids. The center was very appreciative. We only wished we could have done more. They do have a need for baby strollers so if anyone reading this has a working stroller they would like to get rid of please contact me: Laurie Roberti tel: 954-303-3193. We are so grateful that Flamingo Road Church inspired us to do this!!!! Merry Christmas to all as we celebrate the greatest gift of all...Jesus... Laurie Roberti and Stephanie Turner

Cops

Tom, 38, Davie, FL, US

I bought a cop from the Broward Sheriff Dept breakfast at Dunkin Donuts this morning. He was really pretty surprised and appreciative. I told my sister-in-law (also a cop) the story and she was just as appreciative. In her words, "I was only gifted lunch once, at Christmas, and one time someone bought me a soda. Other than that, all we ever usually get is 'the bird' ". It really makes a statement to gift those who are working hard for our safety, especially while we enjoy a day off; and especially when many don't even treat them with respect.
