Went to a restaurant, asked waitress to give me the check for all at my table (even parties I did not come with). Handed everyone a gift revolution card, told them happy holiday and the only requirement is that they do a good deed for somone else ;-)

I went to the second service at Barefoot Community Church this past Sunday. I love the services there!! Anyway, my friend Becky and her 2 sons were there. After church we were walking by the lady selling the Gift Revloution t-shirts. The boys asked if they could have one and Becky said to them not right now. So I bought them each a shirt. When I gave it to them I also gave them some of the TGR cards and told them they could return the favor by doing a random act of kindness for someone else like we talked about in church. They happily took the cards and said they would. We went to eat together at Pizza Hut and when we went in I gave them each a dollar to play games. They saw one of their friends eating there too and immediately went up to him and gave him .50 each. I thought it was so sweet. Then, before we left a man was there filling up the candy & prize machines. He gave both boys a free sticker from his stock. The boys then gave him a TGR card and said Merry Christmas. He came by our table and told us he wasn't from the area but was looking for a church to attend while he was here and said he would check out ours! It was just such a great way to see the Gift Revolution working and working. From a t-shirt to .50 cents to a sticker to an invitation for someone to come to church. I love how God works in our lives! and I love the Gift Revolution!

Trying to Get Home

I work at a Hospital and at lunch time myself and another coworker go for a walk around the hospital for a little exercise and to just get out. We also eat lunch outside on a bench. A gentleman walked up to us and asked if we could help him. He was taking a bus to get home in Pompano. He stated he had to transfer to several different buses and he did not have enough money. I do not bring my purse with me on my walk or while eating lunch, but I did go back into the hospital and get some money for him and hunted him down to give it to him with a card. I know we are scammed all the time but it was what GOD would have wanted me to do (whether it was a scam or not).

My Gift Revolution

My gift revolution actually started back during this last summer when I recieved the greatest gift of all, I survived a serious illness. During this time my family and my Fiance were called twice and told I wouldn't make it through the night but through the grace of God and alot of people praying for me, I am here today to tell my story.Last week on Friday the 12th of December I had taken the day off from work to run some errands. The first place I went was to the Rite Aid Pharmacy to fill a couple of prescriptions and I all of a sudden felt that helping someone else to pay for medication was a good way to start my gift revolution. I got a gift card and put $20.00 on it and took it back to the pharmacy. I told the lady at the pharmacy what I wanted to do and showed her the gift revolution card. She said that was sweet but that they didn't take gift cards at the pharmacy. This didn't stop me however as I took the card back to the frot register and gave it to the lady there. She was really suprised that I wanted to give away the gift card I had just purchased. I left the store feeling great about starting my gift revolution. Next I stopped at Grapevine Books to pick up a book I wanted. When I went to pay I found I had six dollars left in change. Something nudged me again and I pulled another gift revolution card from my pocket and gave the lady the six dollars and the card and explained to her to please give it to the next person that came in. She thought that was so nice and asked me to explain the gift revolution to her which I did and I left her store feeling even better than before. Apparently God wasn't done tapping me on the shoulder for the day. Over the next couple of hours I took 2 dozen doughnuts to the intensive care unit at the hospital to say thanks for all they had done for me over the summer, I paid $10.00 towards someones groceries at the Food Lion, and finally I took $20.00 cash back to the pharmacy at Rite Aid to finish what I had started to do in the beginning which was to pay for someones medicine. The lady at the pharmacy and said I sure was determined to give a gift. I finished that day happier than I had been in a while. What I realized was that I was not happy with myself for what I had done but that maybe I had made someones day just a little better and a little brighter!!

yesterday i was shopping in Macy's Pembroke Pines for a Nascar gift. the Pembroke Pines Macy's didn't have it. i called a few Macy's and the one in Aventura had the item, yaay. so i called Aventura and this wonderfully helpful Macy's associate found the item and kept it for me! i knew i was going to gift her when I got there. Thank God I had a Publix gift card & TGR card handy to spread the love. Woohoooooo!

The members of the Life Church in Ava are in full force with the Gift Revolution!!! This past Saturday did they not only serve free food to all who came, had a "free" garage sale, but they also supplied over 60 foster kids with Christmas gifts!!!! They also gave each of the foster families in attendance groceries to help with their Christmas dinners!! A big THANK YOU to all who helped out our kids and their families. The look on the kids faces as they opened their gifts was amazing. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!!!

Paycheck Deposit

A few weeks ago I recieved a bonus paycheck from my job. I couldn't deposit the check myself so I gave it to my husband with my deposit slip to lodge the check for me.
Later in the week, I checked with hubby to see if he had been able to deposit, but he had forgotton. He would deposit that day. I recieved a telephone call later that day from hubby to alert me that he had lost my check and deposit slip. It was unlike him...he's very careful. We searched everywhere. I was becoming distressed over it and concerned that if someone found it, my bank account would be compromised and my home vandalized, after all, all my personal information could be had between the deposit slip and my check!
I didn't believe that there were people who if they found my check would be kind enough to try to deposit that check for me or mail the check to me, so I closed my account.
The following Saturday, I recieved an envelope with Gift Revolution written all over it! I was perplexed, looked at hubby and asked if he knew about it. He didn't.
I opened the letter gingerly only to find my deposit slip and check fall onto my lap. I couldn't believe it! Someone found them and mailed them to me!!! I was beside my self!
Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Crabtree, you have allowed me to believe that good people still exist!

Need a Ride?

Saturday night my boyfriend (Jose Barbosa) and I were going home from watching a magic show. We were at the red light and I saw that this lady and her son were waiting for the bus at 10 pm at night. i first mentioned to him to ask her if they need a ride, and he was like you do it. It felt good that if I wanted to make this happen. I HAVE TO DO IT, not just feel the nudge. we pulled up behind the bus stop. At first she was a very hesitant. Once I got her to believe that we were only there to help, she got in the car. We drove them home, gave a card to the mom and Jose gave her son a $2 bill and he told him to save it.
It felt so good to be able to help them since I know what it is a mom and how she set her saturday night to take her son to a carnival and it wasn't easy, since they had to take the bus.
God has been so good to me, and we can only attempt to try to do what he has done for us by little actions.

Christmas Fair Coffee

Friday night I was working a Christmas Craft fair booth at my daughter's school. Besides crafts, there was an area set up with international food flair and a dessert/coffee table.
I gave enough money to the dessert table attendant to cover a dessert and a coffee and left.
I did not get a video or picture, but the young man who got the blessing did come up to our both recounting the story of how he "just got it for free". He was so excited.

I was at Plaza Vea after church Sunday. Eavesdropping on the conversation, I picked up that the man behind me was determining which of his items he would have money to buy, if not everything he picked out.
I gave the cashier enough to cover his bill with plenty of change, the gift revolution card, and a card indicating our service times at FRCLima. Then I left. I unfortunately didn't catch it on video or camera, but God saw it and he got the glory for it.

Walmart surprise in Zephyrhill

I went to Walmart in Zephyrhills, FL and purchased a $25 gift card to give to someone. After I made the purchase, my son and I turned around and went back into the store. There were so many people. It made it hard to decide who to give it to. I prayed that God would direct me to someone that needed just a gift of some kind that would be uplifting to them. We went up and down the aisles and out of the corner of my eye I saw a young girl standing in the produce section. I walked up to her and gave her the gift card and the Gift Revolution card. I also showed her the receipt just so that she would know it was legitimate and not an empty card. It brought a smile to her face. She said thank you and then my son and I left the store. It feels great to give to others, and at least maybe brighten their day just a bit.

My Gift Revolution

Today i was so happy to be able to share and promote the gift revolution, i was out to lunch at burger king today with my parents and we were finishing up our lunch, when we noticed this lady who was counting the few dollar bills and change she had frantically checking her pockets went to her car etc. We then realized she didnt have enough money to pay for her food so i decided to start the gift revolution there in buger king,
I got a gift revolution card and a five dollar bill and before i walked out the door, i went up to the lady who was standing in line to order and gave her the card and five dollar bill. I told her i wanted to help pay for her food and explained what the card was about, at first she looked at me in bewilderment she didnt know what to say or what i was doing. I told her i wanted to help her out and help pay for her food so then she said thank you, gave me a hug and as she did this she started to cry. I wished her a happy holidays and left burger king, it was so cool to see her expression and to see how happy i had made her, hopefully she will check out the website and another soul will be won for God :D
