$20 gift

The Gary Bauer, 46, Cooper City, US

I went to the dry cleaners "Spring Cleaning" and I was surprised how expensive it is to clean a comforter. Then to my surpise I was told that someone had left $20 and a card and said to give it to the next person who walked in and that was me. I am not so sure how this will work out but I did see the movie "Pay it Forward" and that is how I will treat it. So now it is my turn and I will try to document it.

A Free Bus Ride

Robert Wallman, 53, Hallandale Beach, US

When my Mom and I walked down from Wal-Mart to the bus stop, there were 3 young adults sitting there. Two men and one woman. One got up to let my Mom sit down. When we got on the bus, my Mom and I showed our bus passes, but the 3 young adults had a problem. They needed $2.00 in addition to their transfers. They didn't have any money. My Mom and I gladly paid the $2.oo and told them about thegiftrevolution.com and my church. It was small, but we got a great feeling, and the 3 uoung adults got a bus trip to Miami. Robert W

Inspired

Merritt, 37, N Myrtle Beach, US

I received a couple cards from a cashier in Walmart but had not checked out he website or anything until now. My girlfriend called me to tell me that when she went into the gas station to get some things and to pay for her gas she looked out the window as she stood in line and saw a man pumping gas in her van. She did not know what to think. The cashier said "You don't know him?" The man came in and gave her the card and told her he bought her gas for her. She was so shocked. He picked a good person to help that day. She is the single mother of 4 kids, working two jobs trying to get by at Christmas. It has inspired my son and I to do something special for a couple people tomorrow with the cards I've been holding on to.

The Start to a Great Day

Michael P King, 27, Myrtle Beach, US

My wife found out she didn't have to work today so we decided to splurge even though we really can't afford it. We dressed our daughter and went to Dunkin Donuts. I started to pull out my credit card to pay and the cashier said the man behind us was paying for it. We didn't know what to think! He said Merry Christmas and gave us the card. We really needed this boost of faith and we can't wait to do the same for another. Now I'm here telling you my story and I hope it inspires you to do something good for someone else.

Passing it on

Papa's Pizza Wings & Things, 54, Little River, US

Hello, I have a little pizzeria in Little River, SC. It was just about closing time when a truck pulled up to our drive-up window - a gentleman asked me if we had any tables still eating. I thought "this is odd" but I looked and told him that we did.. we had two table actually. He handed me a $50.00 bill and asked that I use it to pay for their meal and split the balance as I saw fit. He also handed me a business card from The Gift Revolution. One of the tables was leaving as I turned around so I called the server over and told her to pay for the remaining table out the the $50. There was $36 and some change left over so I gave each server and the two employees left in the kitchen $5.00.. gave my husband $1 and I kept the change... this gets better... the servers all gave ME $1.00 because I had given the money to everyone else!!! So the giving just kept going and going.... Now, I realize this is getting long but I just can't help it... this gets even BETTER! Several days later, one of the girls who was there that night was cleaning off one of her tables and found a $20.00 bill under a box with the Gift Revolution card! She is a single mom and has just moved into her own place so she could REALLY use this money. However, she took the card and money and gave it to one of her customers. Later she realized that this money had been left for HER - but it was too late. I told her it would come back to her in the long-run - two days later it did - a customer left her a $28 tip which made her day! So I guess I just wanted you to know how your Gift Revolution had affected this little pizzeria in Little River, SC - it really sparked the loving act of giving this Christmas!! Thank you.

Breakfast to Jackson

Bryan Eaton, 31, Portland, TN, US

This morning I went to Hardees in Portland, Tennessee and I asked that the cashier allow me to buy the next person's breakfast. I told her about the gift revolution very quickly, gave her a card to hand the next person, and I left my debit card with her. I wanted to move completely out of the way so that the next person would not know it was me. I waited for my order off to the side. A few minutes later a gentlemen came in and ordered his breakfast. He began searching for change and counting out a few crumbled dollar bills and thumbing through some coins. The cashier then told him that his order was taken care of and the look on his face was pure amazement. While he and I waited for our breakfast we struck up a short conversation. As we talked about the sleet and snow that hit last night he stood there staring at the card. It was if his mind just could not move away from that card. He was very polite but distracted by it. He told me that he was moving to Jackson for work and was leaving this morning. After he got his order I wished him a safe trip and said God bless you. I then received my order and left. As I sat in the church van driving on to work I couldn't help but continue to think of this man. I hope that if his current move to Jackson wasn't by choice and that if he was feeling down that the simple gift that was given truly lightened up his day. It gave me such a feeling of joy to see the astonishment and distracting blessing it appeared to be. It literally has put a few tears of joy into my own heart to be able and see up close what a simple gift can do. Sir, if you read this I did not want to be know to attract attention to myself but I merely wanted to say to you that I truly wish you the blessing that God has in-store for you in Jackson and that I will be praying for you were ever you end up. God bless you!

Christmas Thought

Carla Perez, 40, Miami, US

I want to share a wonderful moment that took place yesterday, Dec 11. A wonderful person in my life, Christine Sera who is there for me as a friend and an angel. She assists me in seeing the positive of things and how much God is a part of everything in our life. She guides me through tough times spiritually and with lots of support and guidance. Yesterday, out of the blue she thought of my family and I and gave us a gift card for Publix to help for the Holiday season. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness, love and selflessness. I am blessed to have her in my life and her family is so blessed to have such a beautiful person inside and outside. Thank you for helping me see the positive and good that there still exists and the strength to keep going. I think the world of you, Christine. May God always be with you and Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot express all the emotions I feel. Love, Carla, Tony, Jackie, Michael, Tony and Tina.

No lunch today...

Steve Mackey, 43, Miramar, FL, US

I gave my lunch money for today to a homeless man I see most days on my way to work. I usually give him the change in my car, but today I gave him my $5 for lunch. He was shocked, and immediately put the money in his "Fort Knox" (aka the inside zipper pocket on his jacket). While it cost me my lunch today, it gave him a huge smile. As I drove away he was holding the outside of his jacket where the money was, and looking up thanking God.

sales

anonymous, 40, pembroke pines, US

I am writing to tell the story of a customer of mines that left $5.00 towards the bill of the next customer as part of the gift revolution. I informed the next customer and she must have felt there was a catch to it, so she declined the gift. The next customer was a man who declined the gift because he said he would feel bad taking it because he wasn't going to go to the web site. The next customers were a couple doing a transaction for their business, the man was hesitant, but the lady said yes let's take it and she also took the business card, so hopefully she passed it on.

In each box i placed some small chocolates w/ a card and finished it up w/ a ribbon & tag that said "from: me to: you.. take me!" it was soo much fun leaving these in the different fitting rooms i went to in the pembroke lakes mall haha..i just wish i could have seen the people who found them! =] i hope they liked chocolate!

I got the Job

Mike Pileggi, 19, Miami, US

That's right!!! I got the job at AT&T, for those of you that knew about me applying and taking tests, and going to the interview. I'm proud to say God listens, and he does miracles...I'm taking this job as a Christmas gift from God, because He's always been faithful to me. Here are the details on how I got the Job: About a month ago I applied online in www.att.com in the carriers section, and they sent me an email requesting me to fax them a signature for God knows what (i can't remember what it was) Then they sent me yet another email saying that they were interested in me and wanted me to take a 2 hour test online, which I passed. After that, they sent me yet another email asking me to re-send an application but with a heck of a lot more details. I did. Then I heard nothing from them for like 2 weeks. I said to myself well at least I tried. After that I asked God that if it was His', I would get called within days. Their Recruiting Manager called me letting me know that I had and interview the next day. I couldn't believe it. He even told me how much I was getting paid, which is a lot. I went to the interview and i was about one hour long. Then the interviewer told me that I should be getting an email within days. Guess what it only took them one day and they said I got it. Now all I need to do is pass the 2 month training, and I'll be in for sure. Which the interviewer said it was impossible to fail (literally) So pray for me so I pass, by the way: the training is paid full time/full pay.
