He did it...
Demone, 77, Brooklyn, US
Couple of weeks ago...I felt the need to be baptized again...he told Na'a-man to dip seven times...so lets dip...I was having some health issues...I was sleeping a lot, didn't really have an appetite, riding the train or watching the TV my hands and feet would get numb so yeah-didn't need a Doc to tell me something was wrong! So of course he healed me no problem...but the moral of the story is all I had was a .5cents to my name and found that in the closet on the floor...thou shalt lend to many nations and thou shalt not borrow...so I went ahead got dressed and walked to the Train Station...standing there waiting on the train I looked down on the track and found a $10.00 bill!!! It wasn't ripped on anything just laying there so I jumped down on the tracks and got it...now if you've ever been to New York you know how dirty and nasty the tracks are-I had on light Gray pants and didn't get a spot on me...can you believe that? I had .5cents and ended up with a 10.00 bill that God gave me and I put it and the .5cents in the offering plate...can you dig it??? Everyone be good and God bless you all and your families indeed...D

Motorcycle Riders Unite!!
Sharisse Hewell, 32, Pembroke Pines, US
I am 1 of 5 founding members of a website www.floridasportbikers.com. We have almost 4000 members across the state of FL and it's surrounding states to include GA, TN, TX, NC and AL. The gift revolution was featured in todays newsletter (which was emailed to all 3500+ members) & we added the TGR icon to our homepage as a clickable link pointing them towards this site. I always have a few riders on board asking me to mail them TGR cards. My hope and prayer is that these riders will "get it" and start to spread the revolution!!

Someone sent an anonymous note through the mail to us today. My husband calls me at work and says that inside was one of the small cards, a note saying "God Bless" and a deposit slip for $900.00.
Thank you to whoever did this. We are in need of buying propane for our home and this was a prayer answered!

A gift of love
Bill Mayhew, 68, Carolina Shores, US
On 12-9-08 I was making a purchase at the bakery thrift store.I did not see the elderly lady at the end of the counter, untill I placed my items on the counter to check out. I backed away, and let her go a head of me. She had only purchased a few items, and was having difficulty finding enough changes to pay for it. I pulled a card, handed it to her, and told her, that god had sent me to pay for her items. At that point a dead silence fell over the store. Tears ran down her face as well as mine and the clerk. She hugged me, and blessed me. thank you God for putting me in the right place. Thank You Barefoot Church

not a big deal
James, 41, Jonesboro, US
I was at our local Hastings this morning drinking a cup of hot chocolate, and decided to get in on the revolution. I went up to the counter and gave the girl $10 and told her that I wanted to pay for the next persons purchase, and for her to keep the rest. After a short wait a guy came in and ordered some kind of mocha something or other. When he went to pay she explained to him that some one had already paid for him and gave him the card. He seemed a little pleased, took the card and put it in his wallet and walked out. NO big reaction, no big deal. Then the girl come up to me with the change, explaining that his drink was only a few dollars and the change was a lot so she was giving it to me. I told her no, that I wanted her to have it as a tip. She was a little shocked and seemed happy. I wish I could say that there was some big thing that happened, but if it did, I did not witness it. All I know is that I gave to someone without expecting anything back, not even a warm fuzzy feeling, and that is what I got. I would do it again, because that is what God tells us to do, and doing that is enough for me.

A Gift of Health
Michelle Marie Diaz, 29, Weston, US
I am a personal trainer in Weston, Florida and a member of FRC for over 3 years. I wanted to give a gift that had something to do with my services and products so I just sent out a mass email to my contact list (almost 1000 people), and told them I wanted to give them a gift. Here is the letter I sent them. I can't wait to hear the response!!!
This is why I have a GIFT for YOU!!!!
My church (Flamingo Road Church) is doing something called the “GIFT REVOLUTION”. The economy is bad, people are in need, the attitude is negative, people are sad, and the conversation around the world is pitiful!!! We want to change all of that to happiness, joy, giving, positive conversations, hope, etc. So we have to be proactive!
My pastor challenged us to give a gift or many gifts these Holidays! It can be paying for someone’s gas, a coffee for the person in line behind you at Starbucks, paying tolls for people, buying someone’s groceries, paying someone’s rent or mortgage, etc. It can be as big or small as you want or can. We just want to be proactive and show the world that there still is love, hope, and joy in the world, that there are people who care and are willing to lend a helping hand.
I want to do something for all the people who are connected to me via my website so this is my proposal. It’s going to be based on the HONOR SYSTEM.
If you or a person you know is in need of making changes in their health and bodies but CAN NOT AFFORD IT. I want to send them or you my “Eat to be Fit” Healthy Recipe E-Book for FREE!!!!! This is my gift to you or to one of your loved ones, all I ask is for your honesty.
If you or someone you know would like to accept this gift from me, please email me with the words THEGIFTREVOLUTION.COM, in the subject line.
When you give, you receive tenfold. I hope if you take this gift from me, that you also will give a gift big or small according to your means, and join us in the GIFT REVOLUTION!
Please go to www.thegiftrevolution.com, you can check out all the stories and also post the story of you receiving this gift from me! Please check it out, it is AMAZING!!!
God Bless You!!!

God Bless Legal Seafood
Kenitha Pettway, 35, Sunrise, US
Today 12/10/08 I went to Legal Seafood in the Sawgrass Mills Mall to pick up something from an employee. Just before leaving, one of the chefs asked me if I wanted something to eat. It was perfect timing as I had not eaten lunch yet and was on my way to eat somewhere else. The whole team took good care of me and gave me an entire meal for free. I just want to say that I really appreciate the generosity of the Legal Seafood lunch staff. The food was delicious and it was a very nice surprise. May God Bless you guys, especially you Cat.

A Little House for A Family Ma
Victoria, 19, Miami, US
My mom and I were in the checkout line at WalMart after doing some Christmas shopping for the family. We bought some books, dvds and a gingerbread house to build as a family later on that night. The lady behind us was waiting too, accompanied by her husband and little son. When he spotted our gingerbread house he was amazed and had so many questions (it must have been the first time they'd seen one, cause his mom had tons of questions too!) We got to talking and found out that they had just moved here from Reno, and it was their first Christmas away from home. As my mom entertained their questions, I snuck off to go grab another gingerbread house- this one, for the family from Reno! As we finished paying, we turned around and handed her the gingerbread house with a giftrevolution card! Viva la Revolución :)

Our Mailman
Amanda, 22, North Myrtle Beach, US
This morning I left a little thank you note for our mailman with a gift revolution card and a candy cane. I was hoping to put a smile on his face and in the end he put a smile on mine by taking the time to write us a note. It's great trying to give a gift and God gives it right back by giving me a blessing.

A Christmas Need
Jennell Osborn, 38, Jonesboro, US
I am a single mom of a six yr. old. I am disabled and live solely on SSI income... I need help with Christmas this year for her as I just don't have any money for gifts. So I placed an ad on freecycle and have had a great outpouring of responses and offers of help. One of the people that has offered and actually did donate some things, gave me this card from the Gift Revolution... So I am keeping my word and am visiting this site as I said I would.
I want to say thank you Devon for all that you have done. And To wish you and your family a wonderful blessed holiday...I am overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness.
Sincerely,
Jennell and Family

Blessings in a Salon
Mrs. R, 24, Pembroke Pines, US
A few weeks ago I was blessed with a gift card to go get my nails done. It had been a really long time since my last mani/pedi and I was really excited. The sweet girl who did my nails just happened to be pregnant with twins. I could not help feeling a little guilty as I watched her lean over her bulging tummy to paint my toes. When Pastor Troy introduced the gift revolution, I knew I had to help this mother to be! I took out some cash and stuck it in a card. Then I had a willing Secret Santa drop it off and I hid to the side. Listen when God nudges your heart- He loves a cheerful giver!

Gas and tolls
Neil, 29, Tampa & Various Stat, US
I first heard about the gift revolution from my pastor Hal from Church at the Bay in Tampa, FL. I first decided to share my gift with a woman who I saw at a gas station trying to count out a dollar worth of change for gas at a 7-11. I felt bad as she was obviously having tough financial times and had two empty child car seats in her car. I decided to buy her $20 worth of gas and hand her a card about the revolution as I walked out of the store. A few days later I left Florida to move to NY. During the trip I made it a habit to pay for the toll of the car behind me. I feel truly blessed to have been able to do this and in return I was rewarded with good weather, a safe trip, and believe it or not I made the trip with my two dogs (golden retriever and border collie) sharing the front seat of my rental truck, they were great for the entire 25hour non-stop drive.
Thanks for letting me share.

Fruits of the Spirit
Levon, 52, North Myrtle Beach, US
I recently had a change in jobs (Regional Advertising Director to A Marketing Rep for a state-wide Assisted Living and Hospice Facility). Our company is a faith-based organization and our CEO is an ordained Minister. While the money I earn is less, the rewards are greater. Our company's logo is a nine-pointed star representing the 9 fruits of the spirit found in Galatians 5 22-23. One of the gifts I have given during the gift revolution is to the Hairdresser within my company (in our facility there is a salon for residents to get their hair done, manicures, and pedicures). The office was quite on this particular Thursday and I could hear a conversation occurring in the salon.
Here is the note I placed in her gift, which illustrates the rest of the story.
You don’t know me, but I also work here. One Thursday, I was able to hear a conversation between you and one of our patients. The patient kept telling you, she loved you and how pretty you made her feel. She felt pampered and special. You advised the patient she was a beautiful lady even without her hair being fixed. She was Truly beautiful on the inside. AGAIN and AGAIN the patient repeated her words of how she loved you and so on. I listened very carefully to your REPEATED response. I was truly blessed and amazed that you NEVER tired. You kept telling her, you loved her and how beautiful she was. I have shared this story on many occasions, illustrating the life application of Galatians 5:22 and 23. I am very proud of the continued care YOU provide. I would like to give you a small gift of appreciation for your dedication. You deserve to pamper yourself. How fitting that the name of this product is LOVE SPELL! Enjoy!!!!!
(I also enclosed the Gift Revolution Card with my note)
