Would You Like to Buy a Pair o

Danielle, 45, Little river, US

I was on my way home after a hard day of work and stopped into a gas station to fill the tank. On my way there I thought "Boy I sure hope I can make it through the week on this gas and whatever little bit of money I have." While I was pumping my gas this guy comes up to me and says "Could I sell you these sunglasses for ten dollars of gas? I don't have any money and need to make it back to Charleston. They are worth 30 bucks." I felt so for him and could only imagine what he must have been going through. I'm trying to make it through the week and he's just trying to get through the day. I knew this had to have been a gift situation given to me by the Holy Spirit. I told him to get in behind me and I'd put his gas on my card, offered him two gift revolution cards and asked him to stay for just a little while. I went into the store and bought him some food, something to drik and a bag of food for the big dog he had with him. When I gave him the bag of food and the cards he thanked me and said he'd asked 10 other people before me and they all turned him down. I told him to keep his sunglasses and to check out the website and pass on the love. What an awesome opportunity we have daily to make someones day and pass on the love of God...and only 1 person out of 10 got the blessing of that moment. Actually, two persons and a dog if you count the guy who got the gas and his canine companion. Thanks God your mercy is never ending!

Free Pizza

Mike and Tammy Zacchilli, 28, Dade City, US

After attending church at New Walk this morning, our daughter decided she wanted to get pizza. We decided this would be a great opportunity to join the gift revolution. Mike bought a $15 gift card and asked the cashier to give it to the next person in line. It feels great to help someone out!

Gift card for nice lady

New Walk member, 45, Zephyrhills, US

I was shopping at Bealls today, buying gifts for the local angel tree. When checking out I needed 3 gift receipts, the check out guy was new and he was struggling, I was fine with it, but 2 carts behind me people were getting anxious, however the elderly lady right behind me was encouraging him and told us to take time, she was in no rush at all. I decided to get her a gift card for her shopping, I bought the $20 card, gave it to the check out guy and told him to give it to the nice lady together with the TGR card. He was so surprised and thought it was so neat and amazing I gave hime a TGR card also. I didn't need to see the lady's reaction, his reaction was so great, I walked out the store feeling very blessed.

Classifieds Challenge!

Pamela Crim, 33, El Paso, US

Our family has had a wonderful time sharing the Revolution with El Paso, TX. Now, we have a challenge to share with all you fellow "Revolutioners"! Do you have something you have been wanting to sell . . . give it away instead. Here is what our family did last week. We listed our 55 inch big screen TV in the local classifieds for sale. We prayed that God would bring just the right person to buy the TV, and then we would really bless them. God was faithful to bring just the right person. I received many calls about the TV and several people scheduled appointments to see it, but for one reason or another, they didn't show up. I knew it was simply God at work in bringing the right person. On the 3rd day of the ad running in the newspaper, a gentleman by the name of Frank called and asked to see the TV that night. I had a feeling he was the right one. I sat my 3 young children down before he arrived and explained to them again what the plan was. I told them it was their choice - we could sell the TV for $300 and use that money to buy the new video games they each wanted, or we could give the TV away for free and they would in turn be giving up any chance at getting the video games. After looking at eachother for a few seconds, they all 3 smiled and told me to give the TV away. Frank showed up at our home right on time, looked at the TV and said he definately wanted to buy it. He asked if he could give me $150 that night and $150 the following day when he picked it up. I said, "Sure Frank, that's not a problem. However, I haven't been completely honest with you. I did list the TV in the newspaper, but it actually isn't for sale." The look on his face was one I will never forget - a look of total confusion and a bit of anger. Then I proceeded to tell him that I wanted to find the perfect person willing to buy the TV and then give it to them for free as part of the Gift Revolution. I explained to him all he had to do was go out and bless someone else as well. He was very happy, but still in shock I believe. He understood the Gift Revolution perfectly and said, "Like Pay It Forward." Yes - he was the one I had been praying for! The following morning he came and picked up the TV. I found out he was recently divorced and had a little boy that would really love the TV. Before leaving he shared with me how excited he was to spread the Gift Revolution through El Paso and gave me a big hug. What a wonderful day! Once again, the giver left feeling just as blessed as the receiver! So, take this as a challenge and really surprise someone with something they are expecting to pay for . . . Give it all away! Frank's post is a few pages after this one - take a look at his wonderful comments. This is what Christmas is all about!

I am so blessed

New Walk member, 45, Zephyrhills, FL, US

Today after attending New Walk church's service I new it was time for me to step up on the TGR. At the entrance of our subdivision there is a guy who sells the paper every week, normally I give him $5, today I gave him $10 and and a TGR card, when I started to drive off, he tried to stop me, saying I gave him $10, I told him:"I know, have a merry Christmas, God loves you". You should have seen the look on his face, he was stumbling over his words, and thanked me with this big smile on his face. Oh my, did I feel blessed and happy

Leaders Go First

Nick Hempsey, 25, North Myrtle Beach, US

I'm on staff here at Barefoot Church and I've been in a leadership role in this Gift Revolution. I've been encouraging people to give as well as giving myself. I never thought of even getting something from the gift revolution. God has other plans it seems. Today I came to the church before 3rd service, and it is quite cold here in North Myrtle Beach and I said to myself on the way in "I need a hoodie." Well I get to my desk and there is this sweet brand new Machine hoodie chilling on my desk. It's very warm and snugly soft! I've been TGR'd! How can you TGR someone??

The Gift

Kimmie Sapp, 51, Zephyrhills, US

During the past 6 monthes the economy has really hit the local businesses. Being a self-employed hair stylist I was blessed to only be hit slightly by the sudden money crunch. I felt from my heart the need to pick out one client a month that had helped me start my new life in Florida by spreading the word about my talents to others. I even had a preacher talk about me from the pulpit! God is so GOOD! Since I have started this practise, not only have I increased my revenue, but can feel God's love as I see the faces of the women I choose. All of them are women with families, struggling, but needing to look their best. Most of the time I tell them that someone from their church did it for them. If they don't attend, I give them the speel about New Walk Church. The gift you see.... is not me giving, but the gift they give to me! God has blessed me so often that now I feel the need to color, perm or cut at least two a month! I will continue this as long as I am able. Pay it forward... in God's name! A Helping Hand

Robyn, 30, Zephyrhills, US

I was so inspired after New Walk's service this week. I decided to buy a 15.00 gift card at Publix. While I was shopping I saw this mom and her three kids. I decided she was deserving of this card. She looked at me stunned that I had just given her a gift card. She thanked me and came up to me later on another isle and told me she truely felt blessed. She thanked me a few more times. I love doing these type of things especially at Christmas time.

Little TGR Things

Barefoot Family, 23, NMB, SC, US

Well, we don't have a ton of money, but we do realize that, with the current economical situation, money is probably one of the biggest blessings we can give. Over the last few days we put more money under formula can lids, in boxes of diapers, taped to the inside of bathroom stalls, left a 75% tip at a restaurant. Some of the gifts were only a dollar or two, but we know that anything helps.

Feels good to do Good

janette kerr, 43, Davie, US

I drive a big honkin' SUV I have teens now so it's basically a dog taxi. I transport my dogs to the park to run with them and i gotta say it stinks. (the car that is). After about several months I thought it would be beneficial to have my car cleaned inside and out. As I was waiting, I noticed the older gentleman working on my car humming an old church hymn. He seemed to have a very happy demeanor. Watching him brought so much joy to me that I wanted to show him how much I appreciated his positive attitude. I gave him a 60.00 tip and the GR card and asked him to please go to the website. He said to me "God bless you, you have made my day"

surprise blizzards

Janet H, 67, Goodlettsville, US

This morning we stopped to get ourselves a treat on the way home from shopping. We ordered our blizzards at the drive in window and when it came time to pay - I was handed a card and the girl said our order was already paid. We are on a fixed income and retired. Treats for us in our budget are rare. We felt so overwhelmed by this gift but you can be sure in the next day or two we will pass it on. Thank you who ever you are - in the red car

Pam Booth Barefoot Community C, 47, North Myrtle Beach, US

I went to McDonalds for breakfast like I do from time to time and the lady at the window has been there for a long time and she is always pleasant and as I drove to work I felt a strong need to share a gift with her so on Friday the 5th I went through and after she handed me my food I gave her a christmas card, wrote a note to her and gave her some money. Her expression was all I needed because from it I knew she was extremely shocked but also thankful.

shopping in Wal mart

Melanie Fly, 36, Odessa, US

I was singing christmas carols, going shopping late, I got in the car to go to Wal mart singing again. I got to the check out and there was a very thin elderly gentleman with a little girl in front. The man could not pay for all his groceries. A lady was loudly talking down to him about how to use the card he had, from the other checkout. He muttered something under his breath. My heart was pounding, there was an argument in my head, every excuse not to do what I was about to do. I stepped forward and I said, excuse me would you let me buy these things for you. He looked at me questioningly with his mouth open. I said God bless you. Again he looked questioningly, I said 'I am a Christian and I believe God asked me to buy these things for you, and it would be my privilidge. He asked me my name, I told him, I asked him his, we shook hands, and I looked and saw in his eyes, how much this meant to him. It wasn't the money or the food, I know he saw the love of God in this action. after all I said, its what christmas is all about, tears welled up in me, and to pull myself together I bent down to his grandaughter (about 5) I spoke to her and I just needed a hug at that moment, and so I asked her for one, she gave me the biggest squeeze. I stood up again. They left and the man at our checkout said 'Merry christmas and God bless you, that was an incredible witness! I got in my car and sang carols, the singing coming from my mouth came from deep within. Hark the Herald hit the high notes like never before, and 'I was blessed' with a heart of gratitude and joy!

What A Great Birthday!!

Kaleigh, 23, Leesburg, US

What a great birthday!!! My mother and I have the same birthday so we always try to do something special. At our Christmas party last night she won a Red Lobster gift card and I got a gift card to the movies. We went and ate and went to the movies, got up there and the guy handed our card back and said "You don't need that, the last person that came up here bought these tickets and said to give them to the next person who came to buy tickets for this movie", and he handed us two tickets for the movie that we wanted to see along with The Gift Revolution card. It was really a blessing and we'll for sure be paying this foward. Thanks to whoever did this :)

Oh Christmas Tree

The Pitts Family, 36, Little River, SC, US

Today, after another wonderful service at Barefoot Community Church, me, my husband and little boy went to go pick out our Christmas tree. When we paid for ours, we wrote the check for double the price, handed the young lady a card and told her to give it and a tree to the next people who came along. She was like are you sure and asked for another card for herself. There was a nice looking couple there picking out their tree ans I saw her had them a card as we drove away....what a GREAT feeling it is to give! I hope you enjoy your tree and do something special for someone else.
