Sam Stokesberry, 17, Miami, US

So i was sitting at my lunch table when I over heard one of my friends freaking out because she had to buy a book for class for the next period. I asked her how much the book was and she told me 12 dollars.. so I gave her a twenty and told her to hurry and get the book before class.. then about 5 minutes later a boy who i didnt know so well.. said he didnt have any money for lunch.. so i went up to him with 6 dollars and a card..handed it to him :) after that i sat back down at my table.. and everyone wanted to know about the card so i told them and gave them each one and they all said they would check out the webside. I had double the opportunity today! it was great. Keepin the Revolution alive!!!

Honor those who deserve it

Mindy McCall, 27, Gallatin, UM

I work at Sumner Medical Group in Gallatin,TN.We have four ladies that have some sort of cancer going on right now and undergoing treatment. There also is a lady that has a non-cancerous tumor that is on her brain and is undergoing radiation. So, for my start of the Gift Revolution, I made a movie of all the employees saying what they thought of when I say the four ladies names that have cancer.I also took up money for the one lady that has the tumor for she has no paid time off here at work.I will play this movie at our Christmas party this Saturday.I will try to get their response of the movie and money and share this at church on Sunday.

replacing a car battery

ryan pippin, 27, altamonte springs, US

so i was coming out of a local store, after a little bit of shopping, and as i walk to my motorcycle, i notice someone with their car hood up. me being a automotive technician, i notice such things. as i recall that i parked in the other row, i notice the owner looking under the hood with a slightly bewildered on her face. so i wander a little closer, and notice what looks like a car battery in her shopping cart, and also notice no overhead/dome light on inside the car, and the drivers door open, confeming that her car has a dead battery and that she's probably trying to figure out how to replace it. so i wander back to my bike, and grab my little bag of tools and walk over to her and inquire if she migh tneed some help.. of course, with it being about 8:30p, it's fairly dark out, so she's a bit startled, and reaches into her pocket, acting like she has a form of self defence object in her pocket. i convince her that i'm a mechanic and i tell her what car dealership i work at and that i'm not a threat and just offering to help.. whch after she believes me, she is most greatful for. so i grab my tools that i keep in my bike and swap out the battery and sent her on her way within 20 minutes, and she was quite happy about it. she offered me $5 and i simply smiled and said to pay it forward and told her about a friend of mine on my motorcycle forum that told me about thegiftrevolution.com that was about paying it forward in an attempt to change the world.

Not An Urban Myth!

Steve Guschov, 43, Lima, PE

Dorcas & I were recently at Urban Cafe, a cool little place located on the ground floor of the cinema complex where we have FRC-Lima. We noticed a man & his young daughter having breakfast there. We called our waiter over, told him that we were going to pick up the tab for the man & his daughter, and to flip the guy a TGR card. Mission accomplished! Viva la revolucion!

Dining Hall Surprise

Craig, 18, Gainesville, US

I walked into the dining hall today on campus and paid for my meal. I also told the lady working the register that I wanted to pay for the next person in line and handed her a Gift Revolution Card. She was confused and almost looked concerned, like I was crazy. She eventually came around and agreed. I went to get some food, and I was with my room mate. He asked me what that was all about, and I told him about thegiftrevolution.com. On top of that, the lady from the register came over and also wanted to know why I did that. I was able to tell her about our church, and she invited me to her church up here. I told her I would visit sometime, and for her to check out thegiftrevolution.com. It's crazy how such a simple act of kindness can stir up so much attention.

Starbucks, Weston, Fl

Blanca, 31, Weston, US

A very kind (anonymous) gentleman left money for my coffee purchase and a gift revolution card at Starbucks in Weston, FL this afternoon. As soon as I returned to work, I pulled up the site. This movement is very inspiring. I was amazed by the testimonials. I will be sure to do my part and "pay it forward". My sincerest thanks to the person who passed this on to me. :-)

Today I was at a Chevron near my house filling up my car. I walked in with $20 and a TGR card and asked to pay for the next person's gas. I asked the lady to hand them the card and let them know their free tank of gas is a gift to them. It feels good to give to others.

The Lord Multiplies

Elvira , 22, Hialeah , US

I take night courses 2/3 nights a week and my teacher is very kind so I thought that I would continue the Gift Revolution by giving him a thank you card containing a $10 Starbucks Gift Card and The Gift Revolution Card. Now, my husband is currently unemployed so we are a little tight economically and $10 that didn’t seem much then does now but nevertheless, I wanted to give this gift to my teacher even though at this point, $10 dollar coffee is a luxury that we can't afford to spend. I gave the card to my teacher and he seemed very grateful to receive it. When my husband picked me up that night from school, he told me that he had come from his family's house and that they insisted on giving him $20 for gas or whatever we needed it for since they know he is unemployed and I just thought it was so wonderful how the lord multiplied our $10 that we spent on the Starbucks gift card for my teacher and made it $20. With those $20, we were able to have the luxury of eating out instead of having to cook or prepare a meal so late in the night and my husband was left with money for Gas which was great. I would like to emphasize to those who are in a bad economic situation right now that this mission that God has called us all out to do does not exclude you because you lost your job or because your home is being foreclosed and I encourage you to trust in God because as you can see from my story and many others, he never fails to provide and multiply blessings so don't be afraid to give and you have been called to be just as much part of this as anyone else. Besides, God cares more about the $1 or piece of candy given with love and sacrifice than the $1,000,000 or flat screen T.V. given without.

Salon disaster!

Michelle, 31, Davie, US

My husband and I were trying to save a few dollars, so I decided to let him dye my hair so we wouldn't have to spend the money at the salon. He had mentioned that when he was younger he had done it for his mom several times. Well, as you may have guessed it was a disaster! I had yellow/orange hair and Thanksgiving with out-of-town family and a big wedding the same week. So I called my hairdresser in a panic and she told me to come right in so she could fix it in time for my big weekend. She did the best she could for 4 hours and by then my hair was a decent color but was pretty damaged from all the chemicals. Anyhow she had people waiting, so I decided to blow dry my hair myself. I guess from being so frantic and upset, my hands were shaky and I dropped the very expensive salon hair dryer that now I was responsible to replace. As I ran to the ATM a woman that was getting her nails done in the same salon had seen my breakdown and by the time I came back from the ATM she was at the counter paying for the dryer I had broke! I had never met her before, I beleive her name was Jane, but wow was she my angel that day! I couldn't believe it, and she just looked at me and said that this is what Christmas is all about...Merry Christmas!
