Extra, Extra :-)
Andressa, 34, Zephyrhills, US
As part of New Walk Church in Zephyrhills, FL, I loved the idea of the Gift Revolution so... after leaving service on a Sunday, I drove past a older gentleman selling newspapers in the median of a busy intersection. I quickly made a u-turn and as I stopped to buy myself a newspaper, I gave him an extra $10. I told him that I'd like to buy a newspaper for the next 5 people who stopped to get a newspaper from him (along with a Gift Revolution card)and for him to keep $5 for himself. He looked confused and asked me to repeat. When I did, he immediately smiled - what a great feeling it was. As I waited for the light to turn green, I saw from my mirror that he was giving a newspaper to someone and pointing towards my car. Again... what a great feeling to give someone a little gift/surprise.

$100 dollars to gift away
Uncle Iggy, 39, Lake Worth, US
I had an extra 100 dollars come into my life one day and decided to gift it away. So I hit the road looking for the next smiling face to gift it to. I was sitting at a traffic light when the guy on the corner walked over to sell me a newspaper. Bingo! I gave him the money and asked him to have a great day.
And the gift goes on!

Warm Lunch
Ashley, 23, Jonesboro, US
I had not heard of this site until today. I was in the drive thru getting my lunch and when I got the the pay window, the man told me that the lady in front just paid for my lunch and to give me this card. I wanted to cry. My eyes teared up. That simple act of kindness is so rare these days. That made my heart feel so good to know that there are still some really good people in this crazy world. Thank you so much!

Busy Day
Angela B, 31, Calabash, US
On my lunch break today I went to Burger King (in Little River, SC), ordered a Hershey's pie and asked the guy at the window to give it to the next person in line along with a TGR card, he smiled and said he would. Then I went to Family Dollar and I bought the items for the person that was behind me and she thanked me, she told me the flowers that were just purchased were for her husband's grave, she cried and I gave her a hug and a TGR card. The cashier got involved with us and asked about my church and I filled him in on the details, he gave me a card of his on...he is a musician and wants to see about playing at my church. I gave him a TGR card to check out how awesome it is. Finally, I my way back to work, I stopped at a Kangaroo gas station and gave the cashier $2 and a TGR card and asked her to take care of the next person that comes in for a coffee, etc... She said she would gladly do it and that it wasn't the first time she had seen one of those.

gift revolution
Heather & James, 25, Davie, US
To start the gift revolution my husband and I felt that we should give the book the Love Dare to our entire family. So we bought 11 copies of the book and the day after Thanksgiving we gave a copy to every married couple in our family. They were so surprised that we did that for everyone. It was so nice to do something for others. Then today, I was at Publix and I got a gift card for $20 and when the cashier handed the card to me I handed her a gift revolution card and asked her to give the card to the person behind me. She looked at me like I was crazy and just said excuse me?? I told her again to give it to the person behind me just to be nice. She still looked confused, but she said she would. I left and never saw if the couple actually received it, but I hope so.

The gift of love and dedicatio
Joe B, 40, Hialeah, US
My family and I migrated to the U.S. in my late teenage years, because of the chaos of the civil war in my country. My story is one of love and dedication from my parents; whom are the foundations to our family. My father and my mother; they both academic professionals left a well paying jobs so my brothers and I can have better options in our life. Thanks to their sacrifice, we are who we are today. We do not take the time to be thankful for our blessings, today I have; because my parents are a blessing in my life. Now, being a father myself I do make every effort to show the same unconditional love and respect to my son; another of my blessings. Today, take the time to be thankful for the people in your life; family, friends, lovers… Remember to say “I love you” and to continue sharing love, peace and forgiveness.

Shoe shine at DFW
Steve, 34, Beavercreek, US
This am I flew into DFW on the way to Denver. I stopped at a shoe shine station and gave the worker a five with a GR card and told him this is for the next customer. The revolution has taken off in Dallas. The team I am with is trying to figure what they can do here in the mile high city.

It's Gotta Be The Shoes!
Steve Guschov, 43, Lima, PE
Dorcas & I have a friend in Lima named Lourdes. She is a physically-challenged woman w/ one of the sweetest & gentlest smiles that'll you ever see. Everyday she sits in her wheelchair outside of the Wong supermarket in the rotary where we have FRC-Lima, selling candy to passersby in order to support herself & her young son. The other day we saw Lourdes seated in her wheelchair outside the supermarket, and she seemed very sad. We asked her what had happened. She told us about her son. He, too, was born with a physical challenge. His legs are different lengths. That makes it difficult for him to walk. Lourdes told us how her son needed a special pair of orthopedic shoes in order to walk with less of a pronounced limp, and with a lot less difficulty, but she didn't have the money to buy the shoes. Now she does! We pressed a bill and a funky little TGR card in Lourdes' trembling hands, and she burst out in tears of happiness and gratitude. Viva la revolucion!

Santa dollars at Publix
Sara, 50, Miami, US
Yesterday while at Publix picking up some groceries, there was a dad with four small children in line behind me. As most children do, the kids were asking for candy. Unlike most, these kids were very well behaved and not whining. I asked the cashier for Santa dollars and gave them to the father to distribute to the kids (of course with a giftrevolution card). It was great to see the kids' eyes light up! Even though it was not a large amount of money, I think the children were surprised and I felt great!

Atlanta Bread
Kristin, 37, North Myrtle Beach, US
Just a Monday morning with two bucks in my hand to get a chai tea with a shot. Tried to put it on my debit card and the system was down. Since there was another Atlanta Bread by my work, I was just going to get back on the road and get one there when out of the blue came Kristy (sp) and handed the cashier a $5 to pay for my drink. I was so surprised! I had done this for another person before at a gas station (gave her $5 for gas), but never expected it this cold December morning. What a lovely way to start the day! I left a tip for her and I and found out that she frequents that specific Atlantic Bread. We exchanged names, she gave the card to this website and I drove to work with a nice hot cup of chai. Thank you again Kristy and I will repay someone for your kind act! I also hope to run into you again at AB...maybe I can repay the favor one morning for you.

Emissions Testing
Donna Clemons, 49, Gallatin, US
Yesterday I went to the emissions testing center in Gallatin to have my car tested in order to get new tags. After my car had been tested, I told the lady that was waiting on me about my participation in The Gift Revolution. She looked at me very surprised and said, "You want to do what?" I told her again about how for 25 days we were going to inspire the world with our random acts of kindness and asked her to pay for the next person in line. She said, "Well, they may not want it." I said, well, just keep passing it on until someone takes the card, and then we both laughed! She said she would and then said, "That's very nice!" This is just one of many that my husband and I have done and it is wonderful to bless someone else. The most exciting part is coming home at night and sharing what we have done that day to bless someone! This has been an incredible journey and I know that many around the world will be blessed!!

Bluestone
Mineo, 50, pa, US
I learned of a family in need, The young wife and baby lived alone while the father/husband served in the military in the middle east. I Sent emails to all of my , very large family and friends, they in turn also forward the email. I asked that everyone send "this family in need" a christmas card with a monetary gift. The response was fantastic ! as you can read below.
Hi,
I found your email address on that email you circulated. I can not thank you enough for the thoughtfulness you have shown. There are not many people in this world that would go out of there way for someone that they do not know and do such a greatful and thoughtful act of kindness. By you doing this I now have a nice christmas for my family. Also now that i have such kind people that have sent me money i am putting it toward college/day care (i was not sure i would go back due to the cost) And now i get to start back to college at the end of January to finish my degree... I have 3 semesters left! ( I will be doing evening and weekend classes so i can still work.)
Thank you is just not enough. You are so kind. Most people do not understands what it is like to live alone with your 4 month old son, go through that pregnancy alone, and WAIT day and day and day- 16 months- for the one person you are completely in love with to come home from overseas, while serving in the military.
I know of these hard times, especially during the Holidays and still people can go out of there way for a me and do something that is SOOO VERY appreciated. How can i contact these people to say Thank You? Thank you isn't enough though. You and the others who have sent me, my son and my husband these cards with the monetary gifts have no clue how much help and well relief this brought to us.
I did do one thing though... as a pay it forward i guess you can say. This family i know doesn't have much at all and has 3 kids so with some of the money i went to Target and bought a few presents for each of the kids for christmas. I know how it is to be in a tough situation (as i am) but i also know that every child deserves a christmas no matter what. And you and everyone else went out of your way to be so gracoius so i thought i can take a few dollars and help another family in need. It was nice to see a family smile as you all made Me, My son and My husband smile.
I just really want you to know how much my family appreciates what you have done. You let me feel happy! There really are greatful, kind, whole hearted people in this world. I cant thank you enough e. I truely appreciate what you have done. My husband said Thank You also. He couldn't believe that you went out of your way to do such a kind act. I hope you know what it means to my family. I can't even explain what it means. Wow. You have made my days "lighter". My heart not so sad, my smile bigger, and My Holiday more greatful. I Thank You from the bottom of Mine, My husband and Our sons heart!

Tears
Leah Nikl, 59, Sunset Beach, US
Hello, my name is Leah. I live at Sunset Beach, NC.
I don't really know what to say. I went to the Dollar General store down from my house, to pick up clorax and kleenex. When I got to the register, the clerk rang up my things and then said, the lady who just checked out wanted me to give you this card and $4 to take off of you bill. I was shocked and almost could not speak. Who was the person, where was she, I wanted to say thank you. But she was gone. I cried. You see my husband died in June of this year. He battled cancer and fought very hard. But God has taken him home now. I do miss him. The financial burden has been almost more than I can bear. I do not know how I will pay the rent this month or have heat in my house. I have managed to pay the bills up until now. I am a Christan and I know that God will provide for me. He always has, just like this $4 gift. Something so small to many people but such a big thing to me. So, if the person who did this reads this, thank you so very much. Your gift came to me and I truly appreciate it. God Bless you and eveyone who is doing this. There are Angels among us! How truly blessed I am.
