Free lunch...

Marcy, 25, Pembroke Pines, Fl, US

On Saturday, my husband and I drove to get some lunch before going back to church for service. My husband went to Jamba Juice to get our smoothies and I went to Great Wraps to get a wrap to share with each other. I placed my order and I look at the line and I see a familiar face from church. Bottom line is... he jumped in front of me while I was still getting stuff on my wrap and he paid for the lady behind me and for me. Aww.. I was so "wow-ed" because I had become the one being gifted not the one giving the gift. Thank you so much!!!!! My husband and I were excited to see the revolution going around.

The happy calculator

Susan, 61, Miami, US

I'm a H.S. Counselor and I have a wonderful student named Jessie whom I think the world of. One day she was very sad and frustrated because neither of her parents would take her to the store to buy a much needed scientific calculator for her Chemistry class. She was discouraged, depressed and even talked about giving up since this triggered deep routed sadness within her. Suddenly I said I'll be back just wait for me. I ran downstairs, jumped into my car and drove to a local store (while school was still on) and bought her a calculator. When I came back and gave it to her the look on her face made my whole life feel worthwhile and I was so amazed how such a simple gesture could bring so much joy and peace to a wonderful girl who I cared about.

Creme Brulee

Heather, 35, Davie, US

For Thanksgiving, two very dear friends of mine spent all night preparing THIRTEEN creme brulees for my friends & family for Thanksgivng Day dessert. All in the name of The Gift Revolution. It meant the world to us that they would go to such lengths with their time, money and culinary talent to do this for us! I'd say their names, but they asked to be anonymous...God bless you two!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Barbara Barrows, 54, North Myrtle Beach, US

I work at a hotel which has always given out free turkeys to it's employees in the past. Not this year. I'd heard there were some housekeepers that always count on the free turkey and would not have turkey for Thanksgiving this year. I went to Food Lion and talked to the meat manager and told him why I wanted to buy 5 turkeys. He gave me a discount and I gave 5 turkeys to the Housekeeping Manager and asked her to distribute them to the housekeepers that needed them the most. Pastor Troy spoke and said I would feel a "tug" on my heart to do something. Truth is, my heart was grabbed.

Window washer

Steve Mackey, 43, Miramar, FL, US

Total confusion... guy approached me to wash my windows, which I politely said no thank you too. God then nudged Sheri and I to give him something more than the $.50 he asked for. We drove up to him handed him $5 and the card. He was shocked and couldn't figure out what happened. As we drove away we kept looking at the card and back up at the car - clearly not understanding why we would just give him money.

Subway! (Eat Fresh)

Chloe Somerville, 11, Portland, Tennessee, US

My friends and I were on a hunt to spread the revolution and it was a small town so we just decided to go to subway. We went in to buy what ever the guy in front bought. We got in line and told him that we wanted to buy his meal. He was very shocked! He exclaimed, " You want to buy this sandwich, for me!" We said yes we are on a revolution and are inspiring the whole world in 25 days. We handed him the card and he said, "So do I spread this on, or what?" We told him that it was his choice. He said thank you so many times it was unreal. At that very second I knew what it felt like to start the gift revolution. How are you gonna start yours?

Could It Be?

Steven Mullins, 39, North Myrtle Beach, , US

We're rockin' the Revolution pretty hard here in the Myrtle Beach area. Last night we picked up some friends and rolled around the mall giving out candy canes and wishing folks a very merry Christmas. We came across this guy in the parking lot. He wanted to let us know we were doing a great thing and encourage us all to keep it up. C'mon people! Give a gift, give a card, share your story!

Mall Madness

Blair, 25, Myrtle Beach, US

I was in the mall tonight and saw this guy with a tye-dyed shirt on holding something in his hand.. and he was cradling it like a baby. I saw him in stores in the mall and thought he may have been mentally ill. AND THEN, he started walking up to me in the food court and I thought "oh no.." But, he was holding roses and baby's breath & gave me some & the card! It was very sweet and I carried them throughout the mall into every store.

Christmas

Robert, 37, Sunrise , US

I was with my sister and brother-in-law Friday night and I had asked them if they were planning to decorate their home for Christmas. My sister had stated that ever since my brother-in-laws father had passed away they really haven't celebrated Christmas. I thought to myself that this would be a great gift revolution for them. The following day I went into my closet (I live alone) and took out all of my Christmas decorations which included ornaments, tree stand, lights, etc..... and I decided that I would go by their house Sunday afternoon after I went to church to surprise them with the decorations. Something must have happened that night because when they saw all the Christmas decorations I had brought them, they decided to go buy a Christmas tree after so any years of not celebrating Christmas. My sister was very happy that night and I even was able to get my brother-in-law to participate in decorating the tree and I even heard him singing Christmas carols without him realizing that I was listening to him that night. I felt amazing that night when I was driving home. I think I'm getting addicted to this gift revolution. This was my 3rd time being able to give someone a gift without expecting nothing in return. I just want for everyone to get that same feeling that I really can't explain what I'm feeling. God Bless.

Manicure

Roger Clemons, 53, Gallatin, US

The day before Thanksgiving I went to get a pedicure. I was the only person there for a few minutes and the owner was the only person working. An elderly lady came in, stated she wanted a manicure, so the owner told her it would be a few minutes. When I got ready to go, the owner told the lady to go ahead and have a seat. I paid my bill and then placed a $10.00 bill down and told the owner I was paying for the lady's manicure and I gave the lady a Gift Revolution card. I explained the Gift Revolution to her and the elderly lady thanked me and stated God will bless you for this. I explained to her that God has already blessed me and I wanted to share my blessings with her.

A new ministry!

Jeremy Alexander, 18, Myrtle Beach, SC, US

I am trying to give the gift of a new ministry. As I have seen many different ministries making use of the features of Mogulus.com I decided that I would try it out. I took my current website and COMPLETELY changed its style and function to center around creating a ministry with this new technology. I have already started a live, bi-weekly show called System Shock where I challenge people to take a deeper look into why they believe what they believe. I have only done one episode so far....and it was kind of awkward...and I wasn't as prepared as I should have been....lol.....but I can't wait to see how God can make me and this show grow and touch the people of this world! Please check out what I am trying to do and please let people know about it! God has used this Revolution to inspire a ministry that could potentially inspire the world! To see what I am doing go to www.jeremyalexanderfilms.com!

Breakfast in the Park

Mariellen, 49, Longs, US

Although I have not passed on my gift revolution card yet, I would like to tell you a story from many years ago. I was sent to Washington D.C. to speak before a senate subcommittee regarding managed care and medicaid. One morning I stopped at a fast food restaurant and purchased two breakfast sandwiches. I soon realized that one was more than enough. As I walked the mall I saw a woman who was obviously homeless. I approached her and asked if she had eaten recently. She shook her head no. I then offered her the breakfast sandwich. She asked me what kind it was and when I replied she reached out and gently took the bag. Then she quietly said thank you and turned away. Others might feel the woman was ungrateful, but I saw it differently. I felt that even though this woman was barely existing, she still felt she had a choice. She also did not feel a need to do any more than accept my simple act of kindness. I had been wondering how to approach the subject of managed care when I had my time to speak. This woman gave me the inspiration I needed. She showed me that we always have a choice, it may be the wrong choice, but it is our choice. I also came to realize that day that every choice I make impacts my life in the short or long term. Thus, by giving a gift I also received on.

We'll see....

Derek S., 37, Plantation, US

Had to pick up some groceries for myself from Publix today and after paying for mine, I saw the opportunity to spread the cheer/revolution. I had the cashier get a gift card and ring it for $30. To his surprise, when he tried to hand it over, I told him to save it for the next shopper. At first, he laughed kind of nervously then I explained why. He probably thought I was wierd, I didn't care, bet the next person in line didn't think I was wierd....but we'll see!!!=)

Shopping experience

Joe, 46, Davie, US

I am a local police street crimes detective and was at Home Depot, in uniform, prior to my shift when I was approached by a young boy and his father. The boy introduced himself to me and gave me a gift that he had made at his church (Flamingo Road Church). It was a heartwarming experience to have had met such an innocent person full of spirit and faith. In law enforcement, often times, I encounter people with bad intentions and evil behavior. This gift given to me by such an adorable young person was one of the most refreshing experiences that I have had in quite some time and it is proof positive that good still prevails in our world. Merry Christmas and God Bless.
