I surprised my coworkers with some yummy snacks and because mty hands were full I couldn't take off my sunglasses while coming into the building. A coworker saw me and praised how pretty the glasses were. Once I arranged the food & invite them to do an act of kindness to someone and share in this website, I asked my coworker, do you like my sunglasses? Yes! she replied. They are yours!! It felt so good to see her big smile and show off her new look!! Sunglasses hide the sun to protect our eyes, but her eyes were beaming through the glasses!!

Good clean fun!!!
Sandra and Mark Monteagudo, 45, Pembroke Pines, US
Today my husband and I were waiting in line to get our car washed. Even though we had already started the Gift Revolution by paying some tolls, we wanted to continue by making someone's day with a "the works" car wash. I felt God's nudge and off I went to the car behind us. I asked the young girl behind us if she had already paid for her car wash ticket and she said no. So, I handed her the card and eight dollars and said Merry Christmas...she was shocked and very excited....and most of all so thankful. It was a great feeling for us to make her feel good and we can't wait to do more. We can change lives one small gift at a time!

Thanksgiving Pie
Brian Vasil, 37, Davie, US
What a GREAT way to spend Thanksgiving. This morning, we went to the store to buy 2 pies...one for dinner and one for the guy who was ringing up my order! Then we headed to my Grandmother's Assisted Living facility to bring a pie to all of the residents who didn't get to leave for Thanksgiving...What a DAY!

Blankets at Best Buy
Cindy and Ashlee, 26, Pembroke Pines, US
My mother and I saw a line of people waiting outside of Best Buy on Thanksgiving. We knew they would be cold as the night went on, so we went and bought nine fleece blankets and handed them out to the people in line. Everyone was incredibly grateful! We felt warm inside and so did they :)

Food Lion
John, 43, Little River, US
Went to Food Lion today to get a few things for Thanksgiving. I knew the cashier who was working so it was kind of neat to give her a card and $5 and tell the next person in line that the money was a gift to help with their bill. The cashier smiled and said "that is so sweet". I waited outside looking in as the next lady came to the line. As the cashier was giving her the card and $5 she was looking at me outside just smiling. The lady that received the card just kept looking at the card front and back.............was really fun to see a little card and $5 touched both the cashier (who I think enjoyed giving the card/money) and the lady who received it!!!!!!

Starbucks NMB
Denise Watts and Page Watts, 31, North Myrtle Beach , US
Page, my dad Phil and I were at Starbucks in North Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the drive thru. Page and I ordered coffee and pulled up to the window. We saw a large SUV behind us and paid for their order at the window. We asked the Starbucks lady to pass the card to the SUV behind us. The Starbucks lady said it is a nice thing that Barefoot is doing for people. She said that earlier in the day that someone had paid and give her a car to give to the car behind her and it got passed back three times before stopping. People receiving the gifts, people giving the gifts, and people watching the gift exchange are all being affected...the gift revolution is blessing everyone!

Merry Christmas
Vicky, 44, Ava, US
While shopping at our local Wal-Mart for last minute Thanksgiving items ready to check out I had a gentle nudge from God. I got some extra cash over my purchase and handed it back to the cashier with a Gift Revolution Card, I asked her to apply the money to the lady's bill next in line and wish her a Merry Christmas. I turned to leave, as I was looking back I could see a look of surprise come over the womans face. I went ahead and went to my car I hope God blesses her and her family greatly.

After we had finished eating and putting away what was left,we got the idea to make plates and give what was left of our dinner to the homeless. We drove around for a couple hours,we only found 2 people but we still made a difference. Thats our story!

Cuban Immigrant Waitress
Jess Reyes, 56, Miami, US
Miami has a large Cuban population that continues to grow and many of the jobs new arrivals take-on are in the service industry especially in the restaurant business. The young mother that waited on my table named Myra had just moved from Cuba 8 months ago and is determined to take on the main challenge many of them face, that is learning the English language. Although I speak Spanish, I spoke English with her learning much about her family, life and perspective. As a gift I gave here a large tip with the check and then gave her a special gift of $20 with TheGiftRevolution card. I asked her to spend it on a book or something that would help her reach her goal. She gave me a gracious smile and said she would look at the website.

God is good
Dennis Posey, 46, Ava Mo., US
Let me start by saying how honored I am to be a part of The Gift Revolution. Like most people in our part of the country, I have a full time job and sometimes seem to need just a little more. For 17 years God has blessed my family and I with a small buisness that I can do after normal working hours. Yesterday while I was in the local hardware store to get some parts, I was led to leave a little something with the cashier. After paying for my parts, I gave Him an additional five dollar bill and a card for the next person to check out. In His amazement, he started asking me questions about the gift revolution. Normaly I would have just payed my bill and been on my way, but not today. In the small amount of time it took me to explain it to him, there was two fellas came into the store looking for someone to do a small job for them. The store owner knew I was into that kind of work and gave me a shout across the store. It was AWESOME! What started out to be a little $5 gift for the next person, turned into a $65 dollar profit for me. WOW! Our youth pastor is always yelling to our teens "God is good" to which they respond "all the time". I can't tell you how excited I was and still am to share that 65 dollars with others. And ya know what....God IS good ALL the time. Thank you Lord.

Christmas Trees
Brian and Heather Poliak, 30, Portland, US
My husband and I Went to Lowes the other night and decided to pick up our yearly Christmas tree while there. As we were walking in the door I noticed that they had live trees for only $16. I thought what a great way to bless someone. So Brian and I went out to the garden center and picked out a tree and went to the cashier. As we were paying I asked the cashier to ring up two of the trees and give the other one to the next person looking for a tree. At first he was confused, but as we explained the Revolution to him a smile came upon his face. He couldn't believe it! As we walked away we saw the employee walk over to a co-worker and tell him what we had just did. It hit me then that not only is this about blessing people but to get people talking about God's love!

Today is Thanksgiving, a perfect day for a Gift Revolution. My sister and I made a quick stop at McDonalds to buy a delicious Sundae, but not for our selves of course. We told the cashier to give our order to the car behind us with a Gift Reolution card and then drove off with a warm heart and felt the goodness of giving.

Giving
Daniel, 21, University Place, US
A lady I had never seen before saw my grocery basket and noticed I didn't have a lot. Seeing as how the lines were long she said I could go in front of her on one condition. I figured it was a scam but then she just asked if she could pay for my groceries. I asked her if she was serious and she said yes. She paid for my groceries, I thanked her multiple times and we went on our way. Haven't seen her since. Great lady taking part in an even greater mission!

It was a busy day of moving and waiting for deliveries. I ran into Publix to get a few things and I decided to go next door to the pizza place to pick up someting for lunch to bring home and eat while I waited for my delivery. As I walked from one place to the other, a women stopped me and told me she loved my purse. I said thank you, you want it? She asked me why i would do such a thing. I told her because I would like to give her a gift. She was completely shocked and confused but very grateful. She gave me a huge hug of thanks and her smile made me smile inside and out.

Thanksgiving Giving
Valerie, 28, Miami, US
Yesterday I drove up to Central Florida to be with my parents, brother and grandparents for Thanksgiving. I had to stop at the Pompano Beach rest stop to fill my car up with Gas. I walked in, handed the cashier a $20 and the card and asked to pay for the next person's gas and just to hand them the card. She said she would definately pass it on.
Then, as I was driving past the West Palm Beach rest stop on the Turnpike, I moved over to let a man merge into the moving traffic. This I do automatically. As I was passing him, he waved at me to say thank you. I waved back and smiled.
I pray these people, along with everyone else, has a happy Thanksgiving.
