Reved Up
garcipe, 39, Cooper City, US
I attended service tonight @ FRC and I was moved by Troy's gift to his congregation. Never in my almost 40yrs. have I ever seen a Pastor and his family so unselfishly give of their personal financial resources. That's putting your money where your mouth is. That is leading by example. That is Faith. I'm "Reved Up" The Revolution is on.
In his service

Sharing smile through flowers
Alana Anderson, 31, White House, US
So tonight, after church at Freedom, I had to go by Walmart to pick up a special Christmas toy for our 5 year old son. However, it was truly me who received the gift. On my way through the line, I picked up two Pointsettas. I explained to the cashier that I wanted to pay for them and then I wanted her to give the next two customers in line the flowers along with the card. She asked if I knew the people, I said "nope." SO then she grabbed the cashier next to her and explained what I was doing. The other cashier asked me why I was doing that. I explained this world needed a little more love in it and what better way during the Christmas season to show someone they are loved than by a little smile to put on their face. She was so excited, possibly as much as I was. She told the other cashier she wanted to watch her hand them out to see the peoples expressions! What a great way to start the revolution!!!

A Cup O' Joe
Stacey Brooks, 33, Washington, DC, US
I have a Starbucks card that I gave to someone anonymously. The instructions with the card said to buy a cup and give a cup. The recipient passed it on to another person who happened to have had a really bad day. The giver had no idea the person's cat had passed away. I was happy to see the card put to such good use.

Thank you!
Sarah, 27, Davie, FL, US
After hearing about The Gift Revolution tonight at church, I wanted to purchase one of the shirts (to wear on Thanksgiving day when my husband and I fly to Ohio to visit our families). As I was deciding what size to buy, I asked the lady selling the shirts how much they were. She said they were $25 and I told her thanks anyway, but that was over my "spending limit." She asked what my limit was and when I told her $15, she gave me $10 so I was able to purchase the shirt! This meant so much to me and I can't wait to do my part in The Gift Revolution. =)

Wendy's Drive Thru
Valerie, 28, Miami, US
So on my way home from church tonight I decided to stop at Wendy's for dinner. I paid for myself and the guy behind me and asked the employee to pass along thegiftrevolution.com card and to tell the car behind me that he was reached by the revolution and to please pass it on.
The employee at Wendy's said thank you for the car behind me assuring me that the people would be thankful for a free meal. Then the manager at the restaurant asked the employee what was going on in Spanish and he was explaining what I was doing to the manager.
It feels good to give and you never know how many more people might get involved because they were indirectly touched by thegiftrevolution.com.

Cookies and Donuts
Ashley, 13, Gallatin, US
When I first heard about this, I thought it was dumb and a waste of time. Then, I actually started doing it, and seeing the reactions I got changed my mind. We did this with my youth group (The Edge). Dustin was really excited about it and I know why now. So we split up into teams to go all over our county. It took us a while to decide what we should do. Then, it hit us: GIVE POLICEMEN AND FIREFIGHTERS COOKIES AND DONUTS. Something very simple, that they appreciate. We just went to Wal-Mart and picked some cookies and donuts. Then, we went to the fire and police departments and was handing it out. They were so amazed that a bunch of kids were giving them this. They even asked us why we were. We just simply told them "To show God's love and to show that YOU are appreciated." They were VERY impressed and happy. It was a lot of fun. So that's how my gift revolution started, how are you going to start yours?

Iris Ramos, 32, sunrise, US
One evening my family and I were really down and out not knowing were we would get food or have a thanksgiving for our family. Then we heard a knock at the door around 10 pm and when my husband opened door there sat a big bin full of food to the top with a pretty red bow....My husband began to cry with joy than I began to cry we were so relieved you cant even imagine...We were so blessed and I tell you all that God will never leave us nor forsake us and he always always hears our crys out for help so always trust in the Lord cause he will see you through like he has for my family. I want to thank all of you who made this happen at thegiftrevolution.com and my #1 pastor....blessings to all....:O)

For a friend
Michael, 16, Davie, US
A group of my friends were talking and we figured out that our friend couldn't afford a video game he wanted. The game costs $60 which is a heck of a lot of money for kids out age. So...our friends came together and we all contributed $10 or more and the next afternoon I took my friend to go get the game that all of our friends pitched in for. A funny thing is, this was before we even knew about the Gift Revolution we just did because we love our friend and we wanted to help him out.

A little gas
Kristy, 25, Miami, US
Well me and my fiance were victims of a gift revolution last Sunday. We were at a friends house and were just talking about how we needed to put gas in my car. One of our friends left the room and when they came back they gave us a gas card! Of course i was taken back i mean aren't i suppose to be the one giving gift revolutions but was so grateful for that need to be filled. Our friend told us that it was ours she was going to give it away anyways. When i went to the car and opened it...it was a gas card for 50 dollars!!!! i was so excited and thankful that someone would give up their gift card for my need! It shows just how awesome Jesus is and how he can use people to inspire others!

Grateful
Vicky, 29, Miami, US
Yesterday, I ventured out with a special person to the mall because I desperately needed to get clothes for my boys since they had out grown and worn out all that they had. So like most I was set and ready to put it on the credit card because the cash isn't there. I found a great sale at this store and was so proud that I was going to be able to buy 2 pairs of jeans and 5 really nice shirts for under $50. Well, as I was going to pay for it, the special person who was with me took the clothes and told me don't me worry about it...I got it. What?!! I knew she was kind of in the same situation as me as far as $$. But she felt it in her heart at the moment to bless me and my family. Thank you Mom for your gift revolution.

Just watching it unfold...
Katie, 31, Hollywood, US
Well mine isn't really a big story for this week but it ment a lot to me as I see the gift unfold in my family. I am a single mom so funds are really tight. Like squeeze dollars from dimes tight... So last weekend I was on the way home and I seen a woman with a sign and she wanted money. I didn't have a lot but I gave her what I had and I watch my 10 year old get it without even saying anything to him. He said wait mom and goes into his allowance stash in the glove box and grabs one of those gold dollars and tells me maybe it will bring her blessings. My son doesn't know about the revolution but he got it by example. I was so happy to see his heart open so quick without even thinking about it.
Then another day I went to get the paper from one of those guys that sells them near the turn lane. Well I had a $5.00 bill. So he started counting out the change and when he gave me back the $3.00 I told him to buy the next persons paper. Looking a bit stunned I said tell them a nice lady wanted to give a gift. I didn't have any cards with me. I mean I know it is only a dollar but it was what I could do. And my son again told me that I am the best. I always do for others and that is why I ROCK..... I love it when he says that...
So that is my story for this week... Maybe this weekend I can have a better one....
God Bless......

Cab Fare
Love This Gift Rev., 48, Fort Lauderdale, US
Yesterday on my way home from work I stopped by a grocery store to pick up some items for home. I was tired and went to the ATM to pick up some cash. There was a young girl there with her cooking school uniform on. There was a cab waiting for her as she was at the ATM. Something told me to peek over her shoulder and even strike up a conversation. I saw that there were
no funds in her account as she was trying to withdraw some cash for the cab.
I ask her about her schooling to start a conversation and then ask is she was on her way home. I told her I wanted to give her a gift that could help to change the world and she could be involved. I gave her money for the cab with a gift revolution card and told her to do the same for someone else. I told her maybe she could give something she would cook or anything. The card took away any awkwardness for either of us and the gift blew her away. I walked beck to my car and fought back a tear because I realized, this is going to work. This is going to spread and we are going to hear about this all around the world. I can't wait to give my next gift and card.
I am a part of "The Gift Revolution" and I love it.

Parking Lot Assist
Charlie, 52, Sunrise, US
On the way home from church, my wife and I stopped at Walgreen’s for a few items. When we were pulling out of our parking space, my wife noticed a man that appeared to be having problems with his car. My wife said ”here is an opportunity”, so I pulled over to him and asked if I could help him. He needed a “jump start” and I had the jumper cables. After his car was started, he thanked me and I gave him a gift revolution card!!!

Computer Leads the Way
Charlie, 52, Sunrise, US
I have been helping out the mother of a good friend of mine with some computer issues. She has been telling me to pick out a restaurant for her to take me and my wife as a “thank you” gift for my help. After hearing about the revolution I decided I would ask her to use the money she was going to use to buy us dinner and pay it forward to someone else. When I told her she was so excited and said she would love to do that! She said it was going to be $50 and she knew people that needed help at this time! I gave her a card and she asked for more because she wanted to make a difference in several lives!

2 birds with 1 stone!!
Sharisse Hewell, 31, Pembroke Pines, US
I frequent a message board of sportbike riders thru out the state of FL. I saw a message today from one of the riders that a friend of his, their 2 year old son accidently shot and killed himself. The family was asking for monetary donations for the funeral expenses. I knew right away this was my nudge to start the revolution. That same evening I paypal'd what I could to this family and put in the message box a small message wishing them peace and comfort along with the website fot the gift revolution.
Also, several weeks ago I went to the eye doctor only to find out my vision had gotten worse. Remember I had a couple of sets of contacts left from my prior vision, I set out to find someone who could use knowing how expensive contacts are these days. I found someone in Orlando who recently was involved in 2 wrecks who could use these contacts. I got her name and address and will be paying for the postage to mail to her & adding the gift revolution card in with the package. I attached a note asking her to "pay it forward".
What a great feeling!!

The Phone Giveaway
Rachael Kelsey, 35, Fort Lauderdale, US
Overheard that someone's cell phone broke & shattered. I figured God let me over hear that so that I could exercise the gift revolution right then and there. Got some $$ and an envelope and gave that person enough cash to get a new cell phone...didn't sign my name to the card. anonymous giving feels even better cause its like you and God have a really cool secret :)
