Skillet Concert
MiLife Youth Ministry LifeChur, 37, Ava, US
We started thegiftrevolution waiting in line for a concert on Black Friday. We were excited about the Skillet Awake and Alive tour but dreading a several hour wait in line in the cold weather before we were able to go in to our concert venue. So we went down the street to the local Sam's Club and bought tons of water, chips, snack crackers, mini candy bars and blow pops and passed them out to hundreds of people in line that night! We also had 5 extra tickets that we were able to give away! It was shocking to see how this little act of generosity evoked such a sense of awe. When we walked throughout the crowd, we witnessed thousands of strangers suddenly become connected! It was amazing! This Christmas, let's love like Jesus did and change the world together!

Christmas for foster kids
Wendee , 37, Ava, US
Had a blast this week preparing for a party for foster kids and the amazing families who give their lives to care for them. This year, in addition to our individual efforts in thegiftrevolution, our church is also embracing some pretty big stuff in the name of Jesus Christ our King this Christmas! Way to go Life Church for giving and serving in such a beautiful way... providing Christmas gifts for 51 children, cooking, wrapping all the gifts, playing Santa, taking pictures, hanging out with kids at the gift-wrapping party... and especially THANK YOU to all the families taking care of foster children, we recieved the greatest gift by being able to do this! May God truly bless you this Christmas and always!

Sweet Sleep
Dave Koch, 49, Little River, US
I had fallen asleep last night before my wife came home from shopping. She woke me up and told me to lift my head. I was groggy, but did as she said. She slid a new pillow under my head. I had been complainig about my pillow last week but I'd probably never buy one for myself. What a great gift! Thank you Jeanne!

A friendly walk
Aaron, 26, North Myrtle Beach, US
I was leaving the post office in the pouring rain. I commented to the people standing outside, "nice day, huh?" A lady standing outside said, "yeah, and my car is all the way in the back!" I offered to share my umbrella as she didn't have one and walk her to her car. She thanked me 6 times. It wasn't much. It was just the right thing to do. It meant a lot to her though.

The girls in the office
Lydia McMurray, 48, North Myrtle Beach, US
The girls that run the office in my apartment complex have a rough job. I'm sure they feel mostly unappreciated as they have to handle many situations, some not pleasant. I dropped them off a couple small handmade gifts yesterday, just to let them know I appreciate them and understand what they do is difficult some times. I tucked a gift revolution card inside their gift, just to let them know to pass it on! Wonder what I'll do today?? Love to all. Merry Christmas.

Hold the door!
Frank LaBeau, 30, Swartz Creek, US
While at the flower shop, passing on the gift revolution for someone,a young man was struggling with carrying flowers to his car, to take to a funeral. I held the door and carried the rest of the flowers to his car for him. I gave him the "pay it forward" gift card and told him to pass it on the next time he gets the door for someone else!

Show Love and Compassion
Frank LaBeau, 30, Swartz Creek, US
Our Pastor gave everyone a gift of $2 and wants us to share it with the world. So I prayed about who to give it to. I used the $2 and paid the rest towards some flowers for a lady struggling with the loss of a loved one. The flowers came with an uplifting note about GOD. I gave her the "pay it foward card" also.

A weight was lifted
Jocelyn Campbell, 27, North Myrtle Beach, US
This week I was plagued with trials and hardships, I had just packed up my house, my six year old and I were getting ready to move to Maryland when my car decided it couldn't make the trip, and then my Aunt, my Mom's identical twin, unexpectedly passed away. I took my car to C & S Auto on Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach, its owned by friends from Barefoot Church. They looked at my car immediately, which was a blessing. I ordered the part, and they put it on right away, and the bill for their work said "no charge" with The Gift Revolution card stapled to it. Thank you Chad and Steph, I just cant express enough gratitude for the gift you gave me today.

Christmas Tree
Jennifer T, 38, Gallatin, US
My daughter's first grade teacher came back to teaching after many years off, raising a family. She had a tree for the class but her family wanted to keep the tree for their bonus room in their own home. Therefore, she did not have a tree for the class and she was going to go and buy one with her own money. I gave her $20 (and the card) to assist with the tree expenditure and she replied..."oh they are not expensive"...I replied "well, now they are less expensive". It amazes me how much teachers spend of their own money to teach our children and to provide them the litle extras...
Later on today, she later replied with an e-mail stating how much she sppreciated the $$$ and will pass on the Card...

Subway
Rod, 39, North Myrtle Beach,S, US
Today while buying my lunch at Subway,I had the opportunity to purchase the gentleman behind me his lunch. What a blessing it was to watch his expression as the cashier told him his lunch was paid for. And then to watch him sit by himself as he kept reading the card.
He seemed to be blown away at the gesture and random act of kindness.
Before leaving the restaurant he came up to me with card in hand and said "This was the best card I have ever received in my life."
With tears in my eyes, I said "Merry Christmas."

This Gift Revolution thing is everywhere .... Today I went to a local coffee shop and the owner said ... "Hey that Coffee is on me" ... Just a little while later a co-worker brought me a huge container of my favorite gum ... not because of my coffee breath ... but because he wanted to give me a gift!

Double Blessing
Joan, 54, North Myrtle Beach, US
I was blessed by two friends this morning, one known and one unknown. As I was finishing up at church, one of my fellow volunteers gifted me with dinner for tonight saying that God had nudged her to do this as she was purchasing some food for another person. I was feeling a little down and her gesture was an amazing uplift to me. Then when I got to the office, someone had left a new Karen Kingsbury book on my desk with a Gift Revolution card. I don't know who it was, but if it was you and you are reading this, please know that God used you to bless me and lift my spirit today. I can't wait to start reading it!! Now to figure out what I can do to pass on the blessing :)

No Mortgage Payment
Louise, 62, Myrtle Beach, US
My husband and I just refinanced our home and as a result we have no mortgage payment for December. We have a friend in Maine who is desparate and has financial problems. We were able to give him a large sum of money and when he called us on the phone (left a voice mail) all he did was cry. He wasn't able to speak. He is a giver and it was a blessing to be able to give to him. PS - I love reading the testamonies - what an encouragement!

My gift.
Heather, 28, Jacksonville, US
I managed to sneak away and do a little Christmas shopping late last night. As I was cashing, out an older woman got in line two people behind me. As the cashier turns off the light at her register, she tells the woman that she is her last customer which caught my attention. The woman was so cute bundled up in warm clothes and her blue winter hat. :) I quickly ran to the other side of the registers and grabbed a Wal-mart gift card that read Merry Christmas. I had the cashier put $15 on it. I asked her if she would mind giving her this gift card and my gift revolution card to her when she cashed out. She smiled and agreed that she would. God is so good!
